I am suffering a day of the wandering mind. I have my list and priorities set but still I seem unable to focus on the task at hand. It’s all the more frustrating since this is the day when I have time.
On other days my writing gets squeezed into bite sized chunks, 30 minutes here, 10 minutes there. But today I have hours, what a luxury! The problem is the time seems to take the pressure off, my mind expands and relaxes and the focus wavers. Then frustration sets in and regret claws away at me.
Procrastination and concentration, polar opposites and deadly enemies. Am I alone? Does anybody else suffer from this problem? I guess so, I am probably in good company.
